"Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country." -J.F.K.

I am enclosed in Darkness.
I am isolated.
Entrapped.
A key dangles
By a single thread
Above me.
I can not reach it.
"Forgiveness" is its name.
Why must this key
Be the only savior
For their mistakes?
I reach for the key.
But it fades in my hands.
For I am too late.
I wail
As the cage
And myself
Are swallowed by
Darkness.
