You’re invisible to them –
only I have the eyes to see you –
bright, beautiful under the silent moon.
The therapists tried to take you away;
To my face they said you were
“a figment of imagination,” but
I heard whispers of “hallucination.”
To clarify the essence of your existence,
I told them you were the only one
holding me back from jumping.
They gave up after 500 days.
