breath softly
beat gently
be still,
we grow quickly
learn quickly
lose quickly
move fast,
they’ll cut at first
then tear cruelly
bite hungrily
resist them,
we bleed slowly
breath softly
beat gently
be still.

Relationships can be like this. We want them to develop and mature too quickly that we don't realize that harm we're actually doing to each other. Rather than enjoying the now, we're so caught up with what can happen. Great poem to capture that.
