You took me in
Gave me food
A place to live
And a warm bed

You have no idea
How greatful i am
I show it in ways
You don’t understand

You saved me
And my brother
Without a second thought
You knew otherwise
We wouldn’t make it

We were a handful
I Know
It wasn’t easy
Thank you

But now
I can’t feel
I’m numb
It’s real

You say you love
Why should I believe
Why should I listen
If you only deceive

You tell me
I’m a bad kid
You say i’ll never learn
You’re not me
So don’t assume

I’m a teen
We mess up
We make mistakes
We’re lazy
That’s what we’re best at

I wrote this one about my Grandparents who adopted my brother, my sister, and myself. I know Alot of kids can relate to this poem because adults just don't understand how we work.
