I've lost a lot of friends
I've lost a lot of heart
I've lost a lot of faith
I've lost from the start
Just sitting while the world finds another way to Out smart
I care too easy
I love too hard
my heart is set to leap
my mind is set to linger
my emotions overcome
my stomach grows numb
temptation gnaws at my thoughts
regret bites at my ankles
the asphalt catches my knees once again
where has all this opportunity ever been
all I wanted to be was boastful
all I needed to be is thankful...
