The moon is my lone companion
With her I can live through the night

The stars don't hold my wishes and dreams
I leave that for the moon alone to hear

She watches quietly as I sleep
Praying softly over me

As I dream of someone, anyone
To make me feel less alone

The author's comments:
Teenagers are filled with a loneliness that is hard to explain. When I feel alone, I watch the moon and silently tell it my dreams, secerts, and hopes. I feel this is a beautiful yet simple poem.
