He tries
despite the lies
that comprise
the prison wherein lies
the self

In constant chaos
with the loss
of his only
self

Where did he go
so much to show
but they'll never know
what could have been

More than just
a string of worthless days
a foggy haze
of depression
a sluggish malaise

Ya that boy is gone
escaped through the mirror
left only to appear
a gaze of fear
god let the end be near
because it became too much

The demons in his mind
twist this reality into
delusion
So he keeps boozin'
slowly loosin'
until the truth has run thin
never to return again
