“Take your marks….
Get set….
GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
I hurl myself off the block
and streamline into the water.
My legs pump and churn
the water into froth
on the surface.
My arms pull
in a rhythmic pattern
of breaths and strokes,
propelling me through the water.
I race up to a wall,
past thousands of bubbles,
and reach for the end.
“Fifty meters swam in
45 seconds.”
I love swimming.
