Let me tell you something,
there’s one heck of a big world out there.
Life is a bundle full of moments
Some near, some far.

Some are given to you,
some are taken away.
Some you can choose,
some simply grey.

Life is made up of diversity.
Nightmares.
Dreams.
Extremes.

There is one thing you must remember,
one thing above all:

No matter how small one may be,
how you see the world,
is all up to you.
No one can tell you what to do.

If you look from afar,
you can notice tempestuous clouds,
foreign realms, isolated, strange.
Cliffs that lead far down to the sea,
deep ocean cracks and
things that throb worse than a bee sting.

But if you keep you eyes open,
if you learn how to see,
there’s a lot more to life
if you chose to wander free.

There’s more to this world,
though illusions can lie.
Many riches to find,
spread your wings, learn to fly.

When gales come for you,
find strength from within,
overcome your fears,
and never give in.

So close your eyes now,
I wish you sweet dreams.
But when you wake try,
though hard it may seem.

Hopefully someday you’ll learn,
that rainbows do come, once they have
overpowered the storm.

The author's comments:
I'm a freshman in High School and most of the kids at my school live in a bubble. They think nothing bad will happen, but I know what it's like out there. So they need to stop living in their little bubble, because someday it's going to pop.
