I Want to be like Sylvia Plath

I want to be like Sylvia Plath
minus the suicide
minus the burden of the world on my shoulders
I want to be like Sylvia Plath
A warrior with a pen
minus the emptiness that haunts me
that once haunted her
minus the misery and loneliness
I want to be like Sylvia Plath
But the words won’t flow
and the depression strives on
and the world begins to crumble around me
as the page remains open
Blank and without a hint of the greatness
Sylvia Plath

Okay so I loved your poem, and being a fellow Plath fan I would love it if you contribute to this site, We can learn from each other, and know how other Plath fans view life!
