A Stronger Power

The
roaring
thunder,
it's fierce lightning

striking
the fragile drops of rain,
like a bully,

it's light

flashing
against my window,
in an attempt to intimidate me.
The rain

cries
harder,

shattering
against the ground,
it's pain

resounds,
it's bitterness so loud,
that it echoes all around.

“Boom!”

the bully strikes,
and I fight back
with all my might,
the battle

storming
all around.

I fall down; to the ground,
my enemy laughs out loud,
I
get
back
up,
determination
filling
me
like
a
cup,
I don't want to be afraid
anymore,

my enemy

falls
before my feet,

drowning
in a puddle of defeat.

All grows quiet,
the thunder is silent,
what the bully doesn't realize;
is that this is not a battle of strength and size,
it was a battle of the heart and mind,
my power comes from the inside.
