The best things in life are unseen, that's why you close your eyes when you kiss, cry, or dream.
What doesn't kill you, only makes you stronger.

Pieces pulling
Shard’s stretching
A cold wind knocks me down
Jaws dropping
Hands shaking
Silence screams too loud
Head pounding
Lips breathing
Breaking through he sound
Eyes seeing
Ears hearing
Murder in my home town

Gun shots riding through the wind
Deadly triggers caught by sin
Masks on empty faces
Empty hearts torn from grace
Eyes no longer allowed to cry
Devils kissing our hands goodbye
Shaking barrels near our mouths
Spirits burning in this drought
Kicking, screaming, no way out
This is what life’s about

I was inspired by the Sandy Hook vitims. Rest their souls.

Incredibly well-constructed and beautifully written. I love the vivid imagery and complex description. Absolutely fabulous!
