the person i could be

I want to know what you see,
what you see when you look at me.
do you see a girl frightened and shy?
Or do you just walk on by?
Do you you even notice me?
Oh how I wish that you could see,
could see this other side of me.
Not the little shy, quirky girl.
I only wish you could see,
could see the type of person I could be.
