Come, come Mr. Enemy,
I’ll welcome you to my house,
watch where you step,
for I am poor and things often break.

Come, come Mr. Enemy,
sit at my table,
did the chair snap?!
China, I tell you.

Come, come Mr. Enemy,
have some of my food,
oh no poisoning?!
How could that have happened?

Come, come Mr. Enemy,
do use my car,
were the breaks out?
I really should have checked that.

Come, come Mr. Enemy,
do be my friend,
No? Why not?
and here I’ve only been kind.
