-and you get to a point of realization
that not everyone
in your life
come, gone, stayed
is there for a reason
and with this
that you’re very well a mere fragment
of another’s world;
unnecessary addition
to their story
and they, to yours
but there’s no shame in such a thing
rather it’s just a fact
acknowledgment denied
by many so fearful
in being small fragments
to those who are their world
