"Sometimes when things are falling apart, they may actually be falling into place."

When I was younger I was usually stressed
Some much to do, so little time
And somehow I was always behind
I got so frustrated, so tired

I wish I could just fly away from it all
My eyes fell on the window and I’d take a trip
I flew to Paris, and went to the circus
I even went to the moon

But I came back, I always did
I’d park myself in my chair and continue working
Yet I wasted so much time leaving
Or escaping my prison

I hated always being busy
I’d rather spend time having fun
So I did, often, I needed to escape
I loved to immerse myself into my amusing world
Everything was perfect here

From then on when school was hard
Or life threw any other curve balls my way
I gave myself 2 minuets
Of course, this turned into 10, then 20, then 30
But while there, I’d eat unlimited amounts of candy
I’d stay up for as long as I wanted to
I would go searching for adventure
I fought alongside superhero friends
Then I competed in the Olympics
I went on to win the lottery
And soon I was accepted into the college of my dreams
After that I then got married and the two of us grew old together

I grew old
I traded my superpowers for more practical things
For I no longer needed them
So when I obtained those things

I didn’t need to escape to my perfect world
When I was living it
So, I find myself leaving less and less
I don’t want to

Yet sometimes I dream
Just of different things
A perfect world
I don’t fly anymore or only eat sweets

I’ve lost the drive to
Yet that is the same reason I still escape
Just to a different place
For I’m looking for something different

We’ll always be looking for something
For something is always eluding us
So Maybe I’ll never stop searching
Maybe we’ll never stop searching
So I Guess we’ll all need to dream sometimes
