Pound, Pound, Pound
His feet hit the ground
Throat searing from the cold night air
As he runs through the streets
Consumed by his fear
He realizes that it is coming near
His voice comes alive completely on its own
As it lets out a cry
He falls to the ground
The creature like thing comes down upon him
He wakes with a yell
The creature is gone
It was all but a dream

The author's comments:
Our fears seem to control everything in our life. We look over our shoulders to check that it's not there to find nothing. Even in sleep it never goes away.

I can really relate to this poem.  It has a really strong theme and has nice imagery too.  Good work on it!  :)
