The rabbit hops
The rabbit squeals
The rabbit rejoices
The rabbit wakes up

The rabbit settles
The rabbit sleeps
The rabbit dwindles
The rabbit winds down

The rabbit agonizes
The rabbit cries
The rabbit yelps
But the rabbit hopes

Thus
it hops once again
squeals once again
rejoices once again
to wake up another day.

The author's comments:
The rabbit represents the human condition. The poem does not delineate the day of man because I wanted to portray man's innocence through the "dance", or variations, of the rabbit.
