God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

- Reinhold Niebuhr

A tiny baby cries its first hello
A mother holds it close as her own
Tears come through the night

A child smiles and waves goodbye
She is in heaven now

An old man lies in a hospital with everyone gathered
He says he is ready to die

Life is but a vapor
A flower petal easily broken
Life is a feeling we have
A legacy we leave behind to be followed
Life is when we here a baby cry
Life is when we stare into newborn eyes

Our lives don’t make us
We make our lives
It is when we stop living in life
And start living on life

The author's comments:
I wrote this because I was seeing a lot of problems in the world. My goal is to change the world and help people and I realize that life is short; here today and gone tomorrow. Eventhough we can still make a difference and stop living in the world and in life and start living out of this world and on top of life.
