I Too Can

Why do you do it
That thing you do....why?
Must you eat all the raw hope
I harbor inside, which I care for
And store in my bones like my life
And why do you look upon me
With those blank eyes,so fixed
On my face, only expressing lies
Don't tell me you love me
Then push me away, and swat
At my hands like you're denying a stray
Now Look at me, Really look at me,please...
Is this what you wanted? What you needed to see?
The mere skeleton of the girl that once used to be?
That fed you and bathed you
With the pure of her heart
So you would guarantee
"never being apart"
You're weak and a fool,
A poor excuse for a man
But since I got away from you
I am proof too, that all women
Can....
