I look out the window
I see rolling hills
They are big and blue
So are they mountains?
They aren’t as big as the Rocky’s
So are they rolling hills?
Or Mountains?
From far away they look blue
Is that why they are called the Blue Ridge?
But the question that gets me thinking is
Are they mountains?
Or rolling hills?
The Rocky Mountains tower of these
The Himalayas dwarf the things they call mountains here
So can they really be mountains?
Or are they just rolling hills?

I was in the car looking out the window and the blue ridge mts. and thought of this poem.

I really love the repetitive question throughout this poem; defiantly emphasizes what you were trying to get at. I did think the imagery could be a bit more vivid, but still a wonderful poem! Great job!

THis reminded me of arguments I used to have with friends from the "real mountains" when I lived in NY. I thought I was trapped by mountains. Nope. Everybody said they were hills. But so big.... Good job with this, I like the repeated questions.
