We accept the love we think we deserve

Sky bluer than its ever been
Calm and reposed, backs against concrete
We could die here.
Hands entwined, spewing beautiful lies, quotes we'd quoted, songs we'd sung, all spinning in our breath, on loop.
Eyes, starry and young.
Faithful and oh so, naive, drunk off of you
We could die here.
Shoes untied, finding constellations that don't exist
Stories of heroes and people we'll never meet,
Things we want, the things we don't, spinning in our skulls, our lullaby.
We could die here.
And not have it matter, because this is how we'd have chosen it anyway.
Old or new, irrelevant variables.
Hearts are steady in this galaxy of our own.
I want to disappear off the face of the earth and have it be with you.
I want to be gone but I want for you to be the one who sees me.
The sky is brighter than its ever been.
I want to keep you close.
The sky is bluer than its ever been.
I want to fade into the uncertainty of forever so
If only you'll follow close behind.
Your forehead against mine.
My thoughts are yours.
So is everything else.
Your voice is low, whispering to me.
My answer is for you to take, however you will.
So is everything else.
We could die here.
Fade here.
Be gone here.
Disappear here.
Let's stay here.
