Suicidal Prison

By , Orlando, FL
I'm a prisoner in my own home
Don't want to wear these shackles anymore
I just want to take life and slap it in the face
For once, can't I interact with the human race?
But no, I'm stuck throwing pebbles at the wall
While everybody else is at the freaking mall

How come everybody's got the best of me?
I didn't know having a life was a felony
It's like my life is a game
Yet I don't get to move the pieces
It's like everybody around me
Knows all my secrets
Get me out of this life before I really commit a crime
This sentence feels like a lifetime

This prison is suicidal
Wy does everybody think they're entitled
to make my life suicidal?

This isn't a board game
They're making my life insane
Why is everything so complicated?
I'm getting really frustrated

But no matter how many times I try
I can't seem to go back from this life of mine
It's like they locked me up and forced me to swallow the key
I can't seem to get me out of me

I really like the last two lines!  I've never heard anything like that before.  Nice work on it!

Not really sure why this is listed as anonymous, because I wrote the poem. Well, anyway, I hope you like it!
