Snow resides in desolation
Between the true life of day and
The spirit of dark nights
The in-between of those two worlds
Gray, unforgiving, lonely, and cold
Still in that state is seen a strange beauty
Beauty untouchable even while in it
Breathing it in and tasting its chill

The author's comments:
The winter weather inspired me. Every time it snows, the world seems to develop an entirely new atmosphere. One that is dark and invites you to look within yourself. I attempted to express that in this poem.
