Children go to bed
As darkness fills the air.
The streets are all decorated
With the colors green and red.

Snow falls silently
Blanketing the ground
Mothers everywhere are heard
Singing gracefully.

Tomorrow will be grand
The children will to gifts
There will be smiles all around
Thanks to Jesus' gracious hand.

The author's comments:
Christmas is the second most beautiful holiday ever (it is only second to Independence Day, simply because of all the fire and explosions).

I really love your poem and I feltlike it really sorta describes the way I view Christmas too. I! [(I sorry I meant press5stars but I accidentally give you 2 stars. I'm really really really sorry! :( ] Plus, it nice to see some happy joyful poetry. usaully, ont teen ink, since it is a website written by teens, the poetry somewhr dark and usally deals with the issue that teen face, but sodemn talks about the joys of life. this poems is nice because it happy poem, not the usaul teenage anst poem. keep writing ! :)
