My heart in a race against time
Tears in the back of my mind
People who remain so cruel
Life and death in a duel
No place for hope in my heart
Love is a many miles apart
As I wait for loneliness to settle in
I take a look at where I have been
It’s a hopeless path for me
Ive nothing left to believe
It’s a hopeless game of leaving
So I choose being gone over life
