Friends are Fleeting
Friends are fleeting, but some are everlasting;
A welcoming hug, a warm smile, long nights watching movies and playing games.
Trusted completely, long serious talks, random conversations that make no sense.
A friend is someone who just doesn’t care, you’re you and that’s all they care about; A friend is someone who isn’t afraid to tell you how it is.
Trust is a fleeting thing in friendship
It’s rare to find a friend who you can honestly trust with everything, but even then we hold secrets back.
We all have more than one friend
A pact broken
A trust severed
A story broken beyond repair.
A friend to hug, a friend to tell, someone who is there through thick and thin.
Even when you fall
Or make mistakes
Or want to just end it all
That one person is always there.
Long nights forgotten, a terrible morning erased, the summer of pain and confusion gone
Because we can forget it and move on,
A new pact formed
A new trust ensured
A new beginning to another story
Though one friend is gone, another will always be there to pick you back up.
And even then you still care,
Because those who used to be your friends still hold a place inside you
Long nights and happy days
A welcoming hug and a warm smile
Those are friends
And that is trust.
