We are emerged in light and dark
From the moment we open our eyes
light spills through morning windows
Dance’s on the sheets of our beds

In the daylight, anywhere feels like home
Light is essential
A driving force
We feel comfort knowing there will be a tomorrow

When the evening pulls the sun down
And the day is almost through
The day is filled with memories
The day must be put to rest

Shadows take the place of light
Darkness crawls up the walls
People must not be scared
Embrace change

There are numerous wonders the dark provides
Unacknowledged animals, this is their day
Lurking in the shadows
A forgotten world

The human heart is capable of many things
One must be careful not to be consumed by the dark
The human heart continues beating no matter how dark it becomes
There is light at the end of the tunnel

There is never a lost cause
Take away someone’s darkness
Fill them, instead, with light

Happiness can be found in the darkest of places
If one only remembers to turn on the light
