Ode for a Flannel
Dearest Flannel,
One who smells like his clean aftershave
The kind of smell that racks my senses,
And makes me think of his jumps
Over my inner fences.
Dearest Flannel,
How do you make me miss him so?
Is it my memory of his smile
In that swirl of red and brown plaid
But now I just am getting so sad
Without him here.
Dearest Flannel,
I love your pockets
Great for hiding my secrets
Like the way his eyes make my head fly
And take off like a rocket
But I will never tell him.
Dearest Flannel,
Why do you make my insides hop?
Why do you make my heart stop?
Why do you send me into a tizzy?
But oh,
Dearest Flannel,
The sight of you makes me dizzy.
Especially with him wearing you.
Thank you.
