Ode to Rocks

You know what, Rocks?
I like you.
You don’t do anything,
And you don’t care.
People worldwide
Use you as an example.
“You are as dumb as a box of rocks!”
“He sank like a bag of rocks!”
You don’t know you are sessile.
You are unfamiliar with yourself,
And unaware of your stature.
You don’t care if you are fat, gross, ugly,
Or elegant, beautiful, vibrant and colorful.
You can have the pointiest edges,
The roundest curves,
Or even be thin and microscopic,
But you would never know,
Because you are rocks,
And you are amazing.
