So much time,
Wasting away,
As I sit and watch the world go by.

All my dreams,
Lost as I wake,
And my wings too heavy to learn to fly.

Secret hopes,
Cradled in hand,
Splutter as I try to light them.

Destiny is,
As destiny can,
Shy not, fear not; frighten.

Each verse in this poem addresses a different metaphysical phenomenon: time, dreams, hope, and destiny. That's where I got the name.
