I dance
An endless ballet
dips and curves and leaps
ripped out of space and time
And any joy the dancing brought
Killed by the repetition
and the wait behind the stage
A gray area
no light
and heartbreak waiting
and dancing
and waiting again
Because that's all it is
Life and love and pain and cold and fear
Balanced by the beat
of a discordant harpsichord
weeping an echo
An endless ballet
dips and curves and leaps
ripped out of space and time
And any joy the dancing brought
Killed by the repetition
and the wait behind the stage
A gray area
no light
and heartbreak waiting
and dancing
and waiting again
Because that's all it is
Life and love and pain and cold and fear
Balanced by the beat
of a discordant harpsichord
weeping an echo
