Its a military life
Sitting in your room
Laying in your bed
I let my thoughts wonder
To all the things unsaid
I know you're leaving soon
And you say not to fret
That it won't take long
And you'll be home again
But four months seems like forever
And our relationship is still new
So I still I have to wonder
Can we make it through?
You're off to train
For that unavoidable day
When you'll receive that call
And once again I'll be all alone
Military is your life
That I always have known
But understand it's still hard
With all of the unknown
But four months isn't forever
And I know we'll make it through
Cause you're my true love
And I never want to lose you
