Auschwitz
I was leaving my mother and Tzipora forever.
My father was holding my hand,
and he was crying.
It was the first time I saw him cry,
Auschwitz.
Forward!
March!
Faster!
Our opressors,
faces of hell and death.
We cannot give up,
We cannot give up,
Auschwitz.
Fallen into the trap,
cut off.
Piercing cries,
Fire,
Smoke,
Burning Flesh,
Auschwitz.
Faith consumed by flames,
My God
My soul,
murdered.
My dreams,
ashes.
Desire to live,
transformed into smoke,
Auschwitz.
Liberation,
No return,
Free men.
A corpse in the mirror,
Unrecognizable,
Auschwitz.
