Powerful music, bright showy lights, and a dazzling backdrop.
Impeccable movements, was all I could think about.
My mind was focused like a sharp dagger waiting to take aim.
The cheers of family and screams of the crowds.
As the song progressed
Each lyrical stanza hit my body like a shockwave.
Yelps of my teachers and classmates
I looked down and saw the tan color of my tights.
My mouth and eyes dropped with a bang on the floor.

Slowly I snapped back to reality
