That Beautiful Night
A beautiful night.
Starry sky, ocean breeze.
Just good enough to feel amazing inside.
The wind blows by me.
I feel that sudden urge to turn around.
And when I do, you appear.
At one second I'm enjoying the music and breeze,
the other my world freezes and all I see is you.
I want to call out for you but all I do is smile.
I smile as I watch you greet your best friends.
Your deep-brown eyes reflecting the placid night sky.
Your laugh sends a shiver down my spine with warmth.
I hold my self, still smiling.
You greet one person to another, your eyes all aglow with each greeting.
My smile calms as you make your way through the isle.
I want to run and hug you but I only wait.
I imagine you in a tuxedo with a rose in one hand.
I giggle at that thought.
As laid back as you are, you bring comfort in any room.
I stare at the sky and silently pray that you will always stay like this;
the happy person everyone looks up to, the guy who respects everyone including himself.
Before I could pray for anything else, you grab me by the waste and look me in the eyes.
"My love..."
I close my eyes, breathing in that soothing voice.
I feel your arms heated against my skin.
I open my eyes and reply, "Ah, just the person I was waiting for."
And our lips clasps as the ocean breeze hugs the both of us into a night of tenderness.
