Trailer Trash

poor boy
mamma cleans the dirt from behind your ears
young girl she is only 16 years
daddy’s gone he’s off doing drugs
in the land of the trailers
the land of giving up

you see yourself you look in the mirror
who’s that strange baby boy standing in here?
blue eyes rest of your life that will never change
oh Jack my boy soon you’ll see that life is a shallow game

in the land of whiskey trailers drugs and w*****
you’ll find yourself fighting the Someday Wars

so don’t give up your mom won’t give in
she wants a better life for you she just can’t seem to win
the mold is crawling up the walls
in the distance you here sirens calls

daddy’s off doing drugs looking to score
now the cops have got him he’ll be fighting no more
looks like he’s lost his Someday Wars

In the land of the trailers and the drugs
the land with all the broken lives scattered just because
in the land of dusty children running amok
in the land of falling down and giving up
all you got is your mothers love

here’s your cards now go and play your game
the deck is stacked against you
but Jack there’s really no one to blame
your daddy is going to jail your momma is sad and poor
you’re to young to know that life is a chore
here’s your life now start fighting your Someday Wars

Thinking of myself and friends of mine as newborns really.  If that makes  any sense.
