Collection of empty coffee cups lay scattered on my desk
Looking down at my piece of notebook paper that was
Once a crisp white but now has coffee and neon orange cheesy powder on the corners

Eraser shavings fly while ear buds get jammed into ears
The singer’s wail about being sorry and how he that he would not live
Provides me with no muse

The clock reads 5:00 am
