In The Dark

I'm scared of the dark
It grows and creeps all over
I brings an icy cold sheet of fog with it

Darkness keeps you from seeing things
But in the dark comes the horrors of my past
The blackness pains me so

And yet so comforted I am in the dark
No one can see what's behind my silent smile
Loneliness is cold, painfully, and wonderful

The dark keeps me blinded and numb
It's my worst enemy
But in the dark I am me
