Chasing voices through passages that wind
around and around and around
until you end up in some unknown place,
still never acquiring that sweet voice.

Hands grab your shoulders and spin you
around and around and around
until you're dizzy,
like a child on a carousel,
stumbling through memories
that you never wanted to uncover.

Around and around and around
goes the rusty ceiling fan
that hangs above the dusty bed
where she died.

This is amazing. I didn't know where it was headed and the suspense was enticing. After reaching the end, I began connecting everything together. Remarkably done.
