The knight in shining armor
Saves the damsel in distress.
But that's just a fairy tale;
Nothing more than a story,
A falsehood,
Told to prove male dominance
Over women.
Fairy tales rip open the stitches
That sew together the fabric of society
And plant seeds of injustice
Deep down in our subconscious.
Eventually those seeds will sprout
And spew their toxins into the air
Destroying humankind's age-old fight
For equality.
This morning I found on my doorstep
A tiny potted plant.
