butterfly culture

imagine, for a moment
a culture which embraces diversity?
not like our petty fundraisers,
facebook groups, or
casual hashtags -
but the legitimate
appreciation for one’s unique qualities?
butterflies: delicate,
simplistically complex
organisms with no
fear
of being socially shunned;
each holding a
drop of beauty and innocence
within the symmetrical
silence of their bodies.
i could learn
a thing or two from
members of
the butterfly culture
