the life of a man
is not that great
with calloused hands
and dirty face
his boss is mean
his wife is dead
his children aren't to be seen
the Bible was never read
he cries each night
wondering what life is
is it worth the fight
or should he end it
he took up the rope
and drove to the lake
saw there was no hope
his life, he did take
the life of a man
is not that great
with his cold blue hands
and his bleeding face
