"The woods are lovely, dark and deep. But I have promises to keep, and miles to go before I sleep." -Robert Frost

I stand in the middle of the road
Two futures ahead and the path behind
And I realize I must make a choice
The path to the left or the path to the right?
I walk nearer and see the decision is close
Time is forcing me on
And I come to decide at last.
With a twist of my foot, I turn left
I follow the narrow, straight, dirt road.
Look back into darkness
And then to the light
Now, the past fades out of sight
But I wonder...

What if I had turned right?

"In the beginning, the universe was created. This has made a lot of people angry and been widely regarded as a bad idea."
--Douglas Adams

This is very deep and eloquently describes the choices that people are forced to make in their lives. It is a wonderful poem that forces the reader to wonder things that only just came to their minds. I love it!
