Too Young
He lays there.
His arms wrapped around me,
With his eyes closed.
So little, so delicate.
Not even a week old.
I lay there,
My arm wrapped around his back,
With my eyes slightly open,
Trying to match my breathing with his.
I wished I was like him.
Young.
Too young to understand this world.
Too young to have regrets.
He just lays there.
Sound asleep.
