Gold, Emerald, Ruby.
Leaves morphing into colorful shades.
One by one,
They float off the trees,
Finding a backyard to hibernate in.
Some days are warm,
Other days require a jacket.
Some days the sun shines,
Other days the sun is nowhere in sight.
Everyday is a surprise.
Even the weatherman can’t predict,
What each moment will bring,
In Michigan’s quiet autumn.
