How charged with punishments the scroll.
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul."
-William Ernest Henley

Angry glares,
Then loving stares,
A failing friendship.

Confusion boiling,
Hesitation and stalling,
Not wanting to let you go.

Anger to confusion to pain,
The kind that will stain,
And makes the soft heart hurt.

The friendship is broken,
Not one more word to be spoken,
And the pain will always remain.
