Cruise
Waking up to feel a slight shift,
That’s the ship moving swiftly through the water
Going upstairs to get breakfast
The smell of pancakes, grits, eggs, bacon slowly enter itself through my nose, leaving my stomach growling
The sun shines down on me, leaving my body feel like its being cooked
Kids running around in their bathing suits waiting to go on the water slides
Parents chasing after them, trying to calm them down
9 am sharp, the ships horn goes off letting us know we are close to our destination
Looking ahead, I see mountains, and tiny buildings waiting to be explored
Getting off the ship takes a while, but it’s worth it
You look ahead to see a variety of people greeting you from every direction
All you want to do is shop and explore
After spending all of your money and exploring something new
Getting back onto the ship is a sad feeling
As you move away from the island, once again the horn goes off
Now the island that you were once curious about is gone
You lay back and wait for the next adventure to arrive
