I remember like it was yesterday,
April 27.
That morning the sky is dark.
A cold breeze runs through the air.
We board the bus to school.
As we arrive my sixth grade year at
RMS.
I feel something isn't right.
As we arrive in third block.
Sirens start to go off.
We are called into the halls for a
tornado drill.
A tornado is on the way.
We leave school on the bus.
The following night I lay in a
closet,
Scared.
All at once I decide to go bring
my dog in.
The winds are strong.
The rain is painful.
I manage to get Winstone safely.
As I throw him on my shoulder.
I hear and feel a stronger force,
I turn my head.
There it is the E-F 4 tornado that,

will tear apart Ringgold.
I see it from my back yard.
My neighbor was with me.
Us being not so smart, no time to
run, we get in the dog houses.
And wait for it to pass.
As we come out, across the
plains in Alabama is clean
disaster .
I see the barn, gone.
All at once, my blood pressure
falls,
And i fall into his arms.
I still remember to this day.
