Favorite Quote:
Be strong now, because things will get better. It might be stormy now, but it can't rain forever.

I gaze upon the nighttime shy
As the pitch-black aura overcomes
The sweltering heat of day

The stars rise above the trees
Their glittering essence makes me wonder
How many others
Are looking upon them too

I lie in the grass
So calming the night's quietness
The ever so peaceful presence
Of the always shining stars

Why can't it always be this way?
Every trouble turned to dust
All your worries are gone
The pain has diminished

Life would be so much easier
No war or fighting
Every one's the other equal
All hate would slowly disappear
The world in harmony
Living as one

I wrote this poem after watching the news a few nights ago. It got me thinking and wondering why it's so hard for people on our planet to just get along and accept each other as equal. Our world could be such an amazing place if only people learned to get along.
